Do you have a store I can visit?
While we're located in Philadelphia, we don't have a retail storefront.
However, we do have a lot of our stuff that isn't on the website at a great new
vintage boutique called Orphelin.
Orphelin is located at 720 s. 5th st below Bainbridge in Philly.
Hours are Wed - Sun from 12-7.
We also do some local events. Sign up to be on our mailing list to
get invites and announcements!

Do you have a catalog?
The nature of vintage being one-of-a-kind items makes having a print catalog
impractical. Our website is our catalog which we update and change constantly.
*
Do you have gift certificates?
Yup we do! You can find them here
*
I really like this thing, but it says it's Sold. Will you get another one?
It's very rare that we ever get the same thing twice, so probably not. When an
item sells we mark it as being SOLD on the site and it will stay up until we do an
update of that section.
*
Why does something say it's On Hold?
If a customer contacts us with a question about an item, we will generally put the
item on hold while we are communicating with them about it. This gives them a
chance to ask a question without worrying if someone will buy the item first.
We are also happy to hold items for a week if you are trying to decide about
something. Just let us know.
*
I went to check out and it says the item is no longer available. Why?
Although it is very rare, it is possible that someone has just purchased the item
and we have not had a chance to mark it as being sold yet. It is also possible
it was returned and Horrors! we forgot to mark it back in stock. Feel free to ask
about it - we like to think we're perfect, but we're not.
*
I have really great stuff you would love. Do you sell on consignment?
Sorry, but we are unable to take items on consignment.
*
Do you buy stuff from people directly?
Shopping is our hobby - it's really the reason the whole site began. We always
have a HUGE backlog of items to list so it's rare that we are ever looking for
anything specific. We do not buy items we can't see in person. Items have to be
in really good condition - we don't buy anything with stains, holes or obvious
flaws. If you live in the area and have stuff you think would fit our aesthetic
you can write us and let us know what you have.
*
I have a thingy that's really similar to a thingy you have on your site, but
my thingy is green and a little different. How much is my thingy worth?
Sorry, but I am not an appraiser or a historian. The best way to determine a value
for your item is to look at different sites and see what people are charging for
similar things. The value of something is determined by what someone
is willing to pay for it, whatever that may be...

I have a question, but it isn't listed here.
Information about condition of items and the rating system, shipping, payment
sizing, and our privacy policy each have their own sections which can be found at
the top of this page. If you have another question you can't find the answer to
write us at info@plaidponyvintage.com

Who owns Plaid Pony Vintage?
While we've tried to make it seem like a big operation by saying things like "we",
in reality Plaid Pony Vintage is just one person.
It was a dream born from spending countless hours(and years)
toiling for others in various retail establishments ending with the
realization that, being somewhat of a control freak, I'd be happier
being my own boss. I get a big kick out of people calling and asking for the
accounting department (me) or the shipping department (me again!). This is my
full time job and I love it. Of course I always wish for more hours in the day and
an extra day in the week, but hey... you do what you can right?
